An update...

I thought I would write a new post since the last couple ones have been downers~Spencer's finger is healing accordingly, but still is painful for him. It has been fun spending quality time with my husband! My sister Jen talked us into watching the first season of Prison Break. Lets just say, it is so addicting! We have been up since 3am the last two nights and finished it. It is a good show. Now we will have to borrow the other seasons from my dad. This is my last week of summer school and then only two more semesters to go til I am an RN. I cannot wait! So needless to say, Spencer and I still have two more weeks of spending time together before he goes to work and I start school. Timing was perfect. I love him so much and although he is in pain, I am loving being with him every second :) Paysley's pups are due next week. We are excited and can't wait til they come. She is so big! It makes me sad to watch her cuz she can no longer jump on anything or walk very far. Cross your fingers that everything goes well with that :) Since our camera got stolen, I have not been able to post pictures, but we both got our phones upgraded so hopefully the pics off our phones will work. In a couple weeks we are going to Idaho for the Cassia Fair! I am so excited! There's no place like home! Let us know if you will be up for the fair so we could hang out! Sorry for the random post. My brain is quite scattered!

And the hits just keep on coming!

What a day! I am so worn out, but yet I cannot fall asleep. Today started out great. I got a lot of things done. Then around 5:30 pm I got a call from Spencer saying he was on his was to the Emergency Room because he had cut his finger. He was working in Centerville and a guy he works for took him to the hospital in Bountiful. I didn't have a car since Spencer had mine. My sister, Jen was nice and took me there. When I saw Spencer, it was worse than I thought. I thought he would need a few stitches and then he would be good to go. Boy, was I wrong. He sliced his finger pretty much off, had to be taken into the operating room to repair his bone because it was shattered. My dad & Raelynne came and sat with me while we waited. Then my dad gave him a blessing. Spencer was finally released from the hospital at 1 am. As I went to get the car, it was raining and blowing so hard that I could barely breathe and by the time I got to my car I was drenched. Then I had to drive home in a bad storm (I hate lightning) and I couldn't even see the road as I was driving. It was scary and I just wanted to break down and cry. Ya know how you have moments when you wish you were 5 again? Well that was me just a lil bit ago. But, we finally got off the freeway, got his prescriptions and now at about 2 am we are home. What a crazy night. For anyone who is interested, Tuesdays are now a horrible day for us. Last Tues our car got stolen, this Tues Spencer gets hurt and will be out of work for 3 weeks! Oh my! P.S. The pics were too gruesome to post, sorry!

What a blessing

Tonight we got a call from the Midvale police saying they found our car. It was such a relief, but as we pulled up, I saw Spencer's poor heart break as we noticed they had taken pretty much everything like: expensive tools, Ipod, camera, the cd player, a key to my car, etc.... It is such an awful feeling to feel violated. We know something worse could have happened to us, and we are very grateful that we still have each other. We went to the temple the other night to do sealings and it was such an awesome feeling to hear the covenants again that we made with each other. I know that we will have trials, but it is through our faith that we'll get through them. I am very thankful for a wonderful husband who holds the priesthood and who is such a strength to me. He is such an example to me and it breaks my heart to see him suffer when he would do anything for anyone. We want to thank all who left comments, called, or text us about this situation. It is times like this when you find out who your true friends are. We love you all and cherish the relationships we have. We hope this is a lesson to all. At any moment, something like this could happen. As an idea to all, we bought a club to stick on our other car's steering wheel (so it won't be able to turn) since they do have a key to my car. We also are looking into buying a tracking device for our cars. Thanks again, we appreciate it.

MeMoRy LaNe...

I took this from my sister in law's blog. I thought it was a cute idea. Play along if you'd like to..1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together(Jess or Spencer). It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
P.S. For those who have asked...we still haven't found our car :( I would not wish this on my worst enemy!

There's nothing better than family!

As I write this post, I am quite emotional. I just want to thank our family for the love and support they have given us; especially, since our car and all Spencer's tools have been stolen. Tonight we got a knock on the door and when we opened it, my sister, Jen stood there with a drill set and a check for us. It brought both Spencer and I to tears! We appreciate it so much! Thanks Dad & Raelynne for the drill set! Also, thank you to my mom, my sister's Jen & Patti & their 'lil families, and my Aunt Claudia & Uncle Denny for pitching in and giving us the check. You guys are always here for us and we want you all to know we love you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Bad Day

Today Spencer's car was stolen along with all his tools that were in his car. We are both so bummed.

Pregnant!!!

We are now confident Paysley is pregnant! She has just passed her five week mark, only four more to go! She is gaining weight every day. Spencer and I are quite excited! The only thing is, Paysley now hates going on walks. She used to love them! She will let us get a good 20 yards ahead of her before we have to turn around and pick her up! She just wants to sleep, don't we all?!?! We set up a blog for Paysley's pups when they come. We heard a blog is a great way to advertise.

When it rains, it pours!

(Isn't my lil family cute!?!?)

My poor husband came home early from work yesterday because he was in so much pain! We think he once again has kidney stones! He had them when he was really young and then again after he returned home from his mission. When he got them after his mission, a few weeks later, I got ovarian cysts. Now, I got the cysts first and then just a few weeks later Spencer gets kidney stones! How ironic! Needless to say, we're both in pain and have a hard time walking. I am sure glad we got each other! I love you, Spence!

Our new kennel

We got a kennel for Paysley's pups when they come and we got it early so she could get use to it. Anyway, we had my brother & sister in law and their kids over! We had a lot of fun with them. Our nephew, Brigham, is almost two and loves playing with the dogs. He also loved the kennel. He kept getting in it and saying "night night." It was the cutest thing ever so I had to post this picture!

Uneventful 4th

This 4th of July made me quite homesick! There is nothing like the 4th anywhere else, but good ol' Idaho. In fact, we almost drove up there on a whim, but somehow talked ourselves out of it. I have been suffering from pains that seem to only be getting worse. So all day, Spencer and I just hung out; Spencer finally convinced me to take some "strong" pain killers. We then went up to Primary Children's Hospital to watch fireworks on their top level of parking. We saw about 12 different firework shows, nothing compared to Idaho's! It's just not the same when you aren't close to the action. Plus, I don't really remember it. I hate pain killers. They make me feel so weird ( I think Spencer enjoys that). Anyway, we hope everyone had a happy & safe 4th!

Happy birthday to my nephew Gage! He turns 4 today! Also, happy birthday to our nieces, Emma (6) and Nicole (2). Their bday was on the 3rd!
